The Bachelor of Education Programme (B.Ed.) is a professional course for those interested in pursuing a career in teaching. It prepares teachers for Upper Primary/Middle, Secondary and Senior Secondary levels. The course extends over two years comprising four semesters with regular attendance for the requisite lectures and practical training.
General candidates with minimum 50% marks at UG/PG level. SC/ST/OBC candidates with minimum 45% marks. In-service candidates serving in Govt./Govt. Aided/Govt. Sponsored schools may apply with original Approval/NOC from the competent authority.
M.T.M. College offers the Bachelor of Arts degree in the following general disciplines: English, Hindi, History, Political Science, Education and Sociology.
Candidates who have passed the Senior Secondary (+2) or equivalent examination.
The four-year Integrated Programme integrates general studies — Science (B.Sc. B.Ed.) and Social Science/Humanities (B.A. B.Ed.) — with professional studies comprising Foundations of Education, Pedagogy of School subjects and Practicum. It maintains a balance of theory and practice, preparing teachers for the Upper Primary and Secondary stages of education, including School Based Experiences and Internship.
Candidates with at least 50% marks in Senior Secondary/+2 or its equivalent. Reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other categories as per central/state government rules. Programme may be completed within a maximum of six years from admission.
